Time and time again we hear how important it is to stay hydrated but many of us find it hard to drink enough water and I wanted to share some tips and tricks to help you reach ultimate hydration!
Start where you are at - increase your water consumption by 1 glass a day over 5 days or until you get to the proper amount for you based on your weight.
Or jump right to it - apply the very simple 8 by 8 rule or about 2 quarts of water a day. I recommend having two one quart bottles prepared ahead of time to make it easy! Save one for morning and the other for the afternoon.
Feel the benefits - according to two studies, drinking 17 ounces (500 ml) of water can temporarily boost metabolism by 24–30% (8Trusted Source). Also, drinking 2 liters of water a day helps burning about 100 extra calories a day.
Start early - it is best to drink 2 glasses within the first hour of the day, helping to get your mind and body focused and ready for anything.
Alkalize the body – try drinking water with lemon or apple cider vinegar to help balance your pH levels - start with 1 tsp per cup and increase to your likeness.
Get creative -try adding different flavors, essential oils, iced tea, lemonade or even ginger water to make it fun! You can do this!
